These are my first impressions for all the comics I picked up this week, including Thanos Rising 1, Age of Ultron 4, Indestructible Hulk 6, All New X-Men 10, Red She Hulk 64, Animal Man 19 and Witchblade 165. Links to my full reviews will be added below as they’re posted them on my blog.
I am a relatively new comic book fan writing this blog for other new comic book fans and/or people who are interested in comics but don't know where to start.
I've always been interested in writing, to the point where I have a college Creative Writing Certificate and I'm currently a year 2 Journalism student. I also have another blog where I mostly make fun of bad movies - www.healed1337.blogspot.com
As for how I got into comics, I've always had a passing interest in superheroes: most notably Batman, Spider-man and the X-Men. Until February of 2011 (I think,) my only experience with any of these franchises came from the movies and video games. Shortly after I bought Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 however, I decided to check out X-23, Wolverine's female clone. I ended up reading her Innocence Lost origin story and enjoyed it. From there, I started reading various X-Men comics and it quickly exploded into my newest hobby.
My other interests/hobbies include video games, movies, music, playing sports, my dogs and weird news.
AU was good. Little characterization, but a lot of plot advancement. I do hope he moves back to characterization soon, though.
ANXM was great, though that ending was pure trolling on Bendis’s part. You just know he wrote that, then giggled to himself with glee at how many people were going to hate him.
Hulk was pretty good, though I’m not sure about the ending. That . . . really doesn’t seem right. I’m also not a big fan of Simonson’s art. And I’m extremely disappointed at the fact that the Hulk is stupid, after years of being at least average intelligence. At least we got to see a little bit of Banner’s assistants. I’d like to see a lot more of them.
Red She-Hulk was great. This is just such a great title. Parker’s absolutely killing it.
Thanos Rising was really good. Very interesting. That one girl is really creepy. And I think I’m going to enjoy seeing Thanos’s descent into madness and evil.

I could understand not being sure about the ending, it was a bit out there. Still, it could lead to an awesome action scene in the next issue.
