I was planning on picking up Powers of X 3 and Vampirella 2 yesterday when I was in town for Kung-Fu anyway, but both of these comics were sold out at my normal comic shop. I could have tried the other shop on the other end of town, but I didn’t have the time. That’s also why these comic posts are usually on Fridays on the weeks I work morning shifts. So as much as I’d like to write about this week’s comics, I couldn’t pick them up.

I am a relatively new comic book fan writing this blog for other new comic book fans and/or people who are interested in comics but don't know where to start.

As for how I got into comics, I've always had a passing interest in superheroes: most notably Batman, Spider-man and the X-Men. Until February of 2011 (I think,) my only experience with any of these franchises came from the movies and video games. Shortly after I bought Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 however, I decided to check out X-23, Wolverine's female clone. I ended up reading her Innocence Lost origin story and enjoyed it. From there, I started reading various X-Men comics and it quickly exploded into my newest hobby.
My other interests/hobbies include video games, movies, music, playing sports, my dogs and weird news.

Power of X #3 was quite good. I got a couple of other books, but haven’t had time to read more yet. Been a busy week for me. Still, I’ve got a nice bank holiday weekend here in UK now to catch up 🙂

That’s unfortunate. You don’t have your comics on a pull list at your local comic book shop? 😮 Wouldn’t that help you a lot?

I didn’t want to commit to this miniseries when the X-Men comics have been so bad lately, and as much as Hickman can be really good, he’s kind of hit and miss for me.
