My original intention was to post about this week’s comics on either Wednesday or Thursday morning. I actually picked them up on Wednesday morning. But this week’s been crazy, and I mean crazier than usual for me in a year that hasn’t slown down all that much. I still haven’t found the time to read either of them yet. By this point I feel it’s not worth posting about them, and I’ll probably mention them in next week’s comic post instead. On that front, there won’t be any movie reviews this weekend either.
Long story short, in less than 12 hours, my brother’s getting married. I’m in the wedding party. My aunt from Nova Scotia has been over all week (she saw my place on Monday. She usually only comes over once a year, so I’d rather enjoy that as much as possible. My aunt from British Colombia is over now as well (these two Aunts actually have the same first name). My other brother, who recently finished his training as a radar technician for the military, arrived last night along with his fiance. Wednesday was the rehearsal. And of course I needed to stay in my hometown until the next morning to pick up my suit before driving back to my new town to get to work on time.
I also went for a 2-hour swim, seeing how I still had one prepaid visit left, and it needed to be used up by the end of the month. This particular swim felt bittersweet. It may be the last time I swim at that pool for the foreseeable future. It’s the swimming pool I took lessons in as a kid. It’s the pool where I rediscovered my love of swimming 3 years ago, after forgetting about it and mostly staying out of the water for over a decade.
It’s where I taught myself how to swim butterfly, where I swam my first ever 50m butterfly (on my 30th birthday). It’s where I swam my first 200m im, 400m im, where I started preparing for my 400m butterfly this past summer. And last but not least, for my last swim there, I swam my first proper 1600m individual medley. And I’m pretty sure within that 1600m individual medley, I swam both my fastest 400m butterfly by far (about the same rate I usually swam a 200m butterfly this past summer), and my fastest 400m freestyle by at least 10 seconds.
Additionally, I also bought a printer last weekend that doesn’t work, and I haven’t found the time to get it replaced yet. Thankfully I’ve got 30 days to return it. I’ve got some more furniture for my place, which allowed me to clean it up a bit more. With a bigger bed coming soon and hopefully more shelving early next month, I can finally finish unpacking my “unpacking room”. Hopefully I can post some more pictures of my place soon.
Anyway, I don’t have any sisters, just two brothers. Tomorrow, I get a sister-in-law.
Enjoy the wedding! 🙂

It was good. I never had sisters growing up, just two younger brothers. Now I’ve got a sister-in-law, and a great one at that.

Hope the wedding was a blast. You definitely sound like you had one of the busiest lives of anyone I know so far. Take care!

It was good. Pretty sure my life is going to calm down quite a bit now that it’s over though. I might be taking a year off of NaNoWriMo because I just need a break from being as busy as I’ve been.
