Quick update – March, 2020

It’s been a little more than a week since my last blog post, and I kind of needed that break. The last week of February was very busy, including the fact that I did photography for an annual kids event that I used to go to as a kid. It’s always fun, but when it’s an overnight event where the kids arrive on Friday evening, leave on Sunday at noon, and I need to put together a video/slide show to show the parents on the Sunday when they pick up the kids, it gets exhausting.

Anyway, I’ve decided that this month’s movie theme will be movies based on true stories, and the first will be 42 (based on Jackie Robinson’s story). I’ll be watching that this afternoon, and hopefully that post will be up either tonight or some time tomorrow. At some point I’ll also look at Titanic, and while I haven’t decided on the others just yet, there’s a good chance that Apollo 13 will be in there somewhere.

Since my last Adventures in Home Ownership post, I’ve made several significant upgrades to the place. But since the 1-year anniversary of landing the deal on this townhouse is on the 15th, I’ll save the details for then. Also, I just updated my list of favourite Disney movies by adding Frozen II.

Also, this month I’m both editing a book I haven’t touched in 10  years, and beta reading a book for a fellow blogger. It feels right doing both at the same time, as I’m in the same general mindset for both.

That’s it for now.

About healed1337

I am a relatively new comic book fan writing this blog for other new comic book fans and/or people who are interested in comics but don't know where to start. I've always been interested in writing, to the point where I have a college Creative Writing Certificate and I'm currently a year 2 Journalism student. I also have another blog where I mostly make fun of bad movies - www.healed1337.blogspot.com As for how I got into comics, I've always had a passing interest in superheroes: most notably Batman, Spider-man and the X-Men. Until February of 2011 (I think,) my only experience with any of these franchises came from the movies and video games. Shortly after I bought Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 however, I decided to check out X-23, Wolverine's female clone. I ended up reading her Innocence Lost origin story and enjoyed it. From there, I started reading various X-Men comics and it quickly exploded into my newest hobby. My other interests/hobbies include video games, movies, music, playing sports, my dogs and weird news.
