Avengers Academy retrospective
Part of my reading goal for the year is to read at least one major comic story arc or comic run every month, whether I’m writing fiction that month or not, and then write a blog post about it. This … Continue reading

Wolverine and the X-Men 37 review
It’s the penultimate issue of this year’s X-Men event. The final fight in Battle of the Atom has begun. It’s past, present and future X-Men vs. the future brotherhood, and it’s a bit disappointing so far.

Comics of October 23, 2013
As I’ve said before, I’m planning on participating in this year’s nanowrimo. My anticipation is so strong that I’m physically feeling it. I’m not sure whether I’ll be writing any comic reviews for that month, or just posting about nanowrimo … Continue reading

Uncanny X-men 13 review
With the Battle of the Atom now in full swing, this issue is mostly action. Cyclops leads the actual future X-Men against the fake future X-Men, Colossus and Magik team up for the first time since AVX, and several little … Continue reading
Wolverine and the X-Men 36 review
We’re now at the half-way point in this year’s X-Men event, Battle of the Atom. While I’ve enjoyed the event so far, one can’t argue that the pacing has been a bit slow for a major crossover. Last week’s issue … Continue reading

Wolverine and the X-men 35 review
At long last, the end of the Hellfire Saga is here. It’s been a messy ride, but we can finally put this bizarre storyline behind us. Is this issue any better than the others though?

After having a week off of my usual blogging, it’s good to be back. It’s a big week as well, and almost all Marvel. Some of them were good, a few were bad, and a few I have mixed feeling … Continue reading

Wolverine and the X-Men 34 review
WATXM 34 has a serious case of ADHD; it can’t focus on any one fight for a decent amount of time. Unless you read this comic slowly, it’s hard to keep track of what’s going on. It tries to touch … Continue reading
